Description
Thomas Allen Phelps is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. A graduate of Tampa's Robinson High School. He is currently the pitching coach for the Double-A Trenton Thunder in the New York Yankees organization after serving as their minor league rehabilitation pitching coach in 2008.
He began his major league career in 2003 with the Florida Marlins, where he spent two seasons, pitching in 46 games and won four games, losing five and winning a World Series championship in 2003 World Series. In 2005, he pitched in 29 games with the Milwaukee Brewers, recording no wins and two losses. In 2006, he signed a minor league deal with the New York Yankees, and started 17 games for their Triple-A affiliate, Columbus Clippers, finishing the season with a 7?4 record with a 4.45 ERA.
