Alex Stone is a Los Angeles-based national correspondent for ABC News Radio. Since joining ABC News, Stone has covered stories around the globe, including the 2004 Southeast Asia tsunami and the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami. He traveled to Beijing to cover the 2008 Summer Olympics, Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics, and London for the 2012 Summer Olympics. In 2005 Stone spent weeks in New Orleans and the surrounding areas of Louisiana covering Hurricane Katrina and the storm's aftermath. He has also covered numerous high profile trials for ABC News, including the cases of Scott Peterson, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jackson and OJ Simpson. Most recently Stone embarked "The Great American Road Trip." During the five-day, five-city, 1600-mile journey, he heard firsthand how Americans are coping with the rise in gas prices. He spoke with American going to and from work, long haul truckers and families taking road trips. Before joining the network in October 2004, Stone was a general assignment reporter at KOA Radio in Denver.
