Description
Brent Key is an American college football coach and former player, currently the assistant head coach, offensive line coach, and recruiting coordinator of the UCF Knights. Key played under current UCF head coach George O'Leary at Georgia Tech, where he later served as a graduate assistant before joining O'Leary at UCF. Sine 2007, Key has served as the program's recruiting coordinator, and in 2014 was promoted to assistant head coach of offense.
Key is widely regarded as one of the top assistant coaches in the country, and is believed to be the heir apparent to O'Leary. Following the 2013 season in which UCF won the Fiesta Bowl, Key declined the head coaching job at UAB to remain with the Knights.
