Description
Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. is a four-star general in the United States Marine Corps and current nominee to become the 36th Commandant of the Marine Corps. Prior to this, he served as commander of the International Security Assistance Force and United States Forces- Afghanistan from February 2013 until August 2014. He has commanded several units, and is noted for leading the 5th Marine Regiment during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
