Description
James Matthew Muirhead is an Australian cricketer who has played for Victoria, the Adelaide Strikers and the Melbourne Stars. A leg spinner from Altona, Muirhead's early career was marked with controversy when he was approached by South Australia without Victoria's knowledge, a breach of Australian cricket legislation that incurred a 15,000 AUD fine for South Australia. Muirhead made his debut for Victoria against South Australia in January 2013. He also featured in the Australian U-19s and for the Cricket Australia Invitational XI that faced England's touring team for the 2013 Ashes series.
Muirhead made his Twenty20 international debut against England in Hobart on 29 January 2014. He took 1/34 off 4 overs.
