Blundell currently has what she calls her dream job as an Octagon Girl for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Blundell was born and raised in Australia even though she was named after a Hawaiian flower. She told Auto Babes Magazine, Im always questioned about my nationality, but Im an Aussie girl! Blundell had an interest in modeling at an early age because of her mother, who was a former model. I was very young when mum passed away, she said in an interview with Auto Babes Magazine, but I remember seeing some of her photos around the house, and I wanted to be like her too and follow in her footsteps if I could. Her modeling career has culminated in winning the Ralph Swimsuit Model of the Year in 2011 and when her name was announced, Blundell said she didnt believe it. She told the newspaper that she had been training for weeks to get her body in the peak physical condition for the competition and that she of much of the results to her MMA training, which she says is a good regiment for anyone hoping to get into better shape, saying I believe in the saying, you cant love another if you dont first love your self, I quote this for everyone. She found out about the audition to become an Octagon Girl for UFC through a friend who had offered jobs as a ring girl in the past. I knew I had to do all I could to secure the role as it was a once in a life time opportunity and for me my ideal job! she told FX Australia. Blundell, despite living in a beach community, doesnt consider herself a complete beach bum. She had grown up on a vineyard in Australia before moving to Sydney and says, Ive seen the best of both worlds. Eventually the long time dancer took an interest in personal training and combat sports that helped her get the fit and athletic physique shes known for.
