Mateo Kova?i? is a Croatian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Internazionale and the Croatian national team. Kova?i? is usually deployed as a central midfielder or deep-lying playmaker for Internazionale, but he is considered to be a versatile midfielder, having played in different positions and can adapt to playing either wide on the left or as an attacking midfielder if required. He started his professional career with Dinamo Zagreb at the age of 16, with whom he won two consecutive league titles, before joining Internazionale in 2013. A full Croatian international since 2013, Kova?i? represented the nation at the following year's World Cup.
