Description
Monika Zehrt is a former sprint athlete, who competed for East Germany.
She won a gold medal as a member of the 4 x 400 metre relay team in Helsinki at the 1971 European Athletics Championships.
She won two gold medals at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, in 400 m and 4x400 m relay.
She was the 1973 European Cup Champion at 400 metres.
She is a four-time world record-holder in 4x400 m relay and one-time world record-holder in 400 m.
