Description
Joanna Katie Rowsell MBE is an English cyclist on the Great Britain Cycling Team who competes on track and road.
Her greatest successes to date are the gold medals won in the women's team pursuit at four editions of the World Championships, the gold medal in the same discipline at the 2012 London Olympics and the individual pursuit at the 2014 World Championship.
She is a reigning Olympic, World and European champion in the team pursuit, and reigning World and Commonwealth Games champion in the individual pursuit. As such, Rowsell holds all the available senior international titles in both disciplines
Rowsell first came to national prominence as a winner of junior national competitions in 2005/2006.
