Description
Dee Thomas is a former professional American football defensive back in the National Football League for the Houston Oilers and Montreal Machine in the World League of American Football. He played college football at Nicholls State University and was drafted in the tenth round of the 1990 NFL Draft. He played for the Oilers during the 1990 and 1991 seasons. In the offseason he was protected in Plan B after his rookie year which is today's version of new NFL's franchise tag. He earn the respect of his teammates with Houston Oilers but he decided to hone his skills in the World League of American Football with the Montreal Machine in 1992 where he was one of the team leaders...earning him a lucrative contract with the Washington Redskins at the conclusion of the WLAF's 10 game season which was renamed NFL Europe.While in Montreal, Dee was invited to tryout for the Montreal Expos baseball team but football was tops on his list. Dee suffered from ankle and back injuries during mini camp and training camp with the reigning Super Bowl Champion Redskins. [More at Wikipedia]
