Gabriella Michelle "Ella" Henderson is a British singer-songwriter. She was a finalist on the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012 and finished in sixth place, despite being a strong favourite to win. She was subsequently signed to Syco Music. Henderson's debut album Chapter One was released on 13 October 2014. Her first single, "Ghost", co-written with Ryan Tedder, was released on 8 June 2014 and went straight to number one in the UK, remaining in the Top 5 for eight consecutive weeks. Her second UK single, "Glow", was released on 5 October 2014 and debuted at number 7.
