Description
Victor Lee joined Ambarella in 2007 as our Chief Financial Officer and Secretary to lead our worldwide finance organization.
Lee
is a 20 plus years high technology industry veteran in Silicon Valley.
His last two positions prior to joining Ambarella were CFOs at pre-IPO
companies where he led the development of administrative and financial
infrastructures and successful IPO listings for both companies.
From
2002 to 2007, Lee was the CFO and Secretary of Leadis Technology, a
fabless semiconductor producer focusing on display driver ICs for the
mobile handset market. In 2004, Lee helped Leadis complete its IPO
listing on the Nasdaq National Market. From 1999 to 2001, Lee served as
the CFO and Secretary of SINA Corporation, an Internet portal network
company. In 2000, Lee help SINA complete its IPO listing on the Nasdaq
National Market.
From 1998 to 1999, Lee was the Vice
President and Acting Chief Financial Officer of VLSI Technology, Inc.,
a semiconductor manufacturer (VLSI), and was the Vice President,
Corporate Controller of VLSI from 1997 to 1998. Lee was a key member of
the management team that successfully defended a hostile take-over bid
from Philip Semiconductor and eventually completed the sales of the
company to Philips in 1999.
From 1989 to 1997, Lee was a
finance director at Advanced Micro Devices Inc., a semiconductor
manufacturer (AMD). Lee held various finance management positions at
AMD where he was responsible for Asia finance operations and corporate
finance functions. Lee was instrumental in AMD?s successful
establishment of their JV with Fujitsu (later known as Spansion) as
well as their large factory investment in Suzhou, China.
Lee holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
