Alex Sandro Lobo Silva, or simply Alex Sandro, is a Brazilian footballer, who plays for F.C. Porto in Portugal, as a left back. An offensive minded defender, espnfc.com describes him as a player who is a "powerful runner, can beat opponents one-on-one and is an excellent crosser of the ball." Alex Sandro also plays for Brazil's national football team, where he has gained 6 caps so far. He recently played for Santos, but joined Porto for ?9.6 million euros, alongside teammate and countryman Danilo, who play as the right back. Alex Sandro also represented Brazil under-23, at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he gained 3 matches, including the final against Mexico where Brazil lost 2-1.
