Description
Roy Allen Saari was an American competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and former world record-holder. At the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, he who won a gold medal as a member of the first-place U.S. team in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay, and also a silver medal for finishing second in the men's 400-meter individual medley.
He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1967, and received his law degree from Loyola Marymount University in 1973. Saari later practiced law in Orange County, California.
Saari died December 30, 2008; he was 63 years old.
