Brian Avery is an actor and producer who has worked frequently on film and television. He appeared on the TV Show Gomer Pyle USMC as PFC Brian Jones in the October 13, 1967 episode entitled "The Great Talent Hunt". Brian Avery played the role of a fellow private who ends up being the vocal teacher who helps Gomer Pyle Jim Nabors win the contest and go to Washington D.C. to represent the United States Marine Corp as a Singer. He is known as an actor for the role of Carl Smith who attempts to marry Elaine Robinson in the 1967 film The Graduate. He also appeared in the 1973 Woody Allen film Sleeper. Avery has also worked as an executive producer. He is the father of the musician Eric Avery who is the former bass player with the rock band Jane's Addiction.
