Description
Irene Dalis is a retired American mezzo-soprano, who had a long international career at the highest levels of world opera. In 1946 she received her bachelor?s degree from San Jose State College, where she regarded herself not as a singer, but as a pianist. Her master?s degree in music education is from Columbia University Teachers College, and she has received honorary doctorates from Santa Clara University and California State University.
