Ronald Yngve "Ron" Bontemps was an American basketball player who competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics. He attended Beloit College.
He was a captain of the U.S. men's basketball team, which won the gold medal. He played in all eight games.
Later in life, he refused to root for Lincoln Community High School in Lincoln, Illinois as the Railsplitters made a run at the 2014 Illinois High School Association Class 3A Boys State Basketball Tournament in Peoria, Illinois.
