Description
Richard Ian Porterfield Short is an English actor based in Los Angeles. Currently recurring on the USA network television show "Covert Affairs" as 'Reese'. Prior to that, is best known as recurring character on "666 Park Avenue" for the ABC network. Just completed filming the movie "Cockroaches" in Los Angeles having previously wrapped both "The Butterflies of Bill Baker" and "A New York Love Story", two independent films shot in New York City. Recently, he also appeared in the FX Network show "American Horror Story" directed by 'Miguel Arteta' as well as the feature film "The Exhibitionists" for director Michael Melamedoff, playing 'Walter Todd', released in 2013. Prior to that spent most of 2011 as a member of the Broadway company of Jez Butterworths's Jerusalem at the Music Box Theatre. Has now appeared in over thirty films and television shows across America and the UK.
He began acting with the Woking Youth Theatre in Woking, Surrey in 1992, and made his professional stage debut in the original UK cast of Grease in 1996. His first American film was Delirious, directed by Tom DiCillo, in 2007.
