Description
Les Gock originally came to prominence when he joined the Australian band Hush in 1972. As well as being a guitarist, Gock was also a writer and co-producer, receiving 12 gold records during his time with the band. After leaving Hush, Gock became a music and sound design director in film and television soundtracks, receiving industry recognition in the form of Gold Clios, Facts Awards, and New York International Advertising Festival Awards.
Gock founded Song Zu, a music and sound design company. He sold the business in 2001 and continues working with his new business, Les Gock Sound Thinking, which specialises in audio branding. He has been Chairman of the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association and is currently Chairman of the Commercial Music Producers Association.
Gock went to Sydney Technical High School.
Gock is married to Margaret and they have two adult sons, Adam and Chad.
