Description
Daniel Mach is a member of the National Assembly of France. He represents the Pyr�n�es-Orientales department, and is a member of the Union for a Popular Movement. He is the first politician to have spoken in Catalan in the National Assembly, saying:
'Senyora, els catalans s�n gent orgullosa, honesta i pac�fica. La seva llengua �s un dret i saben quins s�n els seus deures.'
"The catalans are a proud, honest and peaceful people. Their language is a right and they know what their responsibilities are."
