Manuel Carlos Valls Galfetti is a French politician who has been the Prime Minister of France since 31 March 2014. He was the Minister of the Interior from 2012-14. He is a member of the Socialist Party.
Born in Barcelona to a Spanish father and a Swiss mother, Valls was Mayor of �vry from 2001?12 and was first elected to the National Assembly of France in 2002. He is regarded as belonging to the Socialist Party's social liberal wing, sharing common orientations with Scandinavian-style social democracy and Blairism. [More at Wikipedia]
