Martin Gold is a popular British comedian and after-dinner speaker. He began his professional career as a comedy impressionist in the 1980s. He quickly progressed into stand up comedy, and subsequently became a big hit with the theatre audiences. In 2008 Martin took part in the annual pantomime, alongside Darren Day at the Forum Theatre, Billingham. Goldilocks and the Three Bears was one of many pantomime performances in which Martin was involved. This performance broadened his audience and increased his status on the comedy scene. The same year Martin was given a largely positive review in the widely read entertainment magazine "The Stage", where they claimed that Martin "is an expert and completely in charge of his comedic situation." Gold also had a Sunday evening radio show on Mansfield 103.2 FM between 2006?2009, where he was a well-known host. Martin has throughout his career appeared on numerous television programmes and has a number of celebrity appearances to add to his ever increasing profile.
