Description
Stephen Paul Martinson is a retired American professional ice hockey player. He played in 50 NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, and Minnesota North Stars over parts of four seasons. He was the head coach of the ECHL's Elmira Jackals from 2007 to 2010 and the Chicago Express during their inaugural season in 2011-12.
He is currently the Coach of the [CHL's} Allen Americans.
He was member of the Tulsa Oilers team that suspended operations on February 16, 1984, playing only road games for final six weeks of 1983-84 season. Despite this adversity, the team went on to win the league's championship.
