Robert Michael File is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball. File spent three plus seasons as a reliever with the Toronto Blue Jays from 2001 to 2004. Signed with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2005, retiring shortly after spring training with a back injury. File was drafted as a third baseman out of NCAA Division II, then converted to pitcher while in the Jays' farm system. File is a former pitching coach at La Salle University in Philadelphia. La Salle University competes at the Division I level in the Atlantic 10 baseball conference. .
