Michael Joseph Buddie is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. Buddie played for the New York Yankees and the Milwaukee Brewers from 1998 to 2002. In 87 career games, he had a 5?4 record with a 4.67 ERA. He batted and threw right-handed.
He was drafted by the Yankees in the 4th round of the 1992 amateur draft.
Buddie was also the pitching coach who prepared Kevin Costner for Costner's stint as a pitcher in Sam Raimi's film For the Love of the Game. Buddie also had a brief speaking role as the character Jack Spellman in that film.
