Description
Carole Ruggier is a British actress. As a casting director, director, and voice actress, she is best known for her work on video games. Some of her more notable roles include Athena in God of War and God of War II, and Auntie Dot in Halo: Reach. Ruggier's family were forced to leave Egypt as refugees from the Suez Crisis and she was born shortly after their arrival in the UK at The Elephant and Castle in London. She grew up in South London and eventually moved to Los Angeles with her husband in the early 1990s.
Ruggier trained as an actress at The Arts Educational Drama School in the Barbican from 1979 - 1982 and worked extensively in the theatre in Britain including leading roles in productions of Julius Caesar, Twelfth Night, The Cherry Orchard, The Accrington Pals, Outskirts by Hanif Kureshi, Stags and Hens, The Secret Rapture, Mary Barnes, Good Golly Miss Molly, The Wizard of Oz, Chicago, Gypsy, and The Threepenny Opera.
Her first television role was that of a Policewoman in an episode of the BBC TV series Tucker's Luck, followed by Life Without George, and two BBC mini series Love and Reason and Campion: Death of a Ghost, starring Peter Davison.
