Description
Clarence Barone is the tight ends coach for the National Football League's Denver Broncos. Barone has also been the Offensive Line Coach for the Broncos in 2010, he served as the Broncos Tight Ends Coach in 2009, where he will again coach for the Broncos in 2014. He also has served as offensive line and tight ends coach for the Atlanta Falcons as well as tight ends coach for the San Diego Chargers.
Prior to coaching the Falcons, Barone had coached offensive lines at seven different colleges for 18 years. Barone coached five Outland Trophy semifinalists and three Rimington Trophy semifinalists. The NFL drafted 27 of the players he coached in college football.
As a coach in the National Football League he has coached in the Super Bowl, the NFC Championship Game, Two AFC Championship Games, three Pro Bowl Games and has been instrumental in the development of two of the top tight ends to ever play in the NFL: Alge Crumpler of the Atlanta Falcons and Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers. Barone is also responsible for drafting and developing one of the top young Tight Ends in the NFL, Julius Thomas, who was a Pro Bowl selection after the 2013 season.
