Description
Dieter Kochan, is a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender. He was the first player to be called up directly from the UHL to the NHL. He scored a goal for the B.C. Icemen, on January 5, 1999. He was named to United Hockey League All-Star second team of 1999?2000. He was a member of the Calder Cup champion Houston Aeros in 2002?03. He also shared the Harry "Hap" Holmes Memorial Award in 2003?04. He announced his retirement on May 17, 2007 after playing the 06?07 season with the Aeros.
On October 3, 2013 it was announced that he will join the Michigan Tech Men's Hockey program as a volunteer assistant goaltending coach.
