Krynauw Otto is a formerSouth African Professional Rugby Player.
Otto made his debut for the South African national team in the 1995 Rugby World Cup. and went on to play 38 Tests.
He was the South African Young Player of the Year in 1993, and a member of the World Cup winning South African team in 1995. He was part of both the 1998 Springbok team that won the Tri-Nations as well as the Blue Bulls team that won the 1998 Currie Cup.
He retired at the age of 28 after medical examinations revealed a subdural haematoma in the left frontal area of his brain, incurred during a match against Australia national rugby union team. [More at Wikipedia]
