Michael David Green is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League. Best known for his hard slapshot, Green put up big offensive statistics for a defenceman from 2007 to 2010. He was given the nickname 'Game Over Green' during the 2007?08 season when he displayed a propensity for scoring game-winning goals in the last minutes of the third period or overtime.
