Description
Steven Anthony Wilson is a former American football defensive back who played for the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos from 1979 to 1988. Wilson started for the Broncos in Super Bowl XXII. He played college football at Howard University in Washington, DC. He was the former head football coach at his alma mater Howard University, from 1989 to 2001, and Texas Southern University, from 2004 to 2007. Wilson led the Howard Bison football team win the Mideastern Athletic Conference championship in 1993 and to its only Division 1-AA playoff appearance in 1993.
His coaching record at Howard was 78 wins, 67 losses, and his coaching record at Texas Southern was 4 wins, 40 losses.
His father Tom Wilson, played eight seasons in the NFL.
