Julia Ford is a British actress and TV/ Film director. She has appeared in a variety of theatre, film, radio and television productions, including Waking the Dead, Silent Witness, Midsomer Murders and Anne Kinsey in All About George, The Street, Red Riding, Coming Down The Mountain, In A Land of Plenty, Insiders and Island at War. In 2009 she played the part of Fleur in Being Human and Jean in an episode of Moving On called "Bully". In 2009, Ford portrayed a disturbed women known as Maureen in Channel 4's Shameless. In 2013, she appeared as Mary McCloud in the BBC One drama series, Frankie.
On film she has been in Now is Good, Summer, I'll tell you and played Sandra in A Room for Romeo Brass. She played the lead role of Agnes in Moliere's School For Wives at The National Theatre age 23. Other Theatre includes acting In the original production of The Weir in which she played Valerie at the Royal Court. Playing Ophelia opposite Alan Rickman in Hamlet and she played Hero in Much Ado About Nothing opposite Ralph Fiennes at the RSC. She starred as Amanda in Vivienne Franzmann's play Mogadishu at the Royal Exchange, Manchester, and then at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith, in 2011.
